Every year, Minnesota agencies spend millions on single-use plastic bottles, utensils, and food containers—items used for minutes but that pollute our environment for centuries. The Minnesota Zero Waste Coalition is calling on Governor Walz to issue an executive order to phase out these purchases and prioritize reusable, refillable alternatives.

This is a tangible, state-level step to reduce waste, protect public health, and invest in a circular economy. We’re gathering sign-ons from organizations across Minnesota who support bold, zero waste leadership.
