Zero Waste Week of Action
Register Here
The Minnesota Zero Waste Coalition is hosting a Zero Waste Week of Action to advance policies that move Minnesota toward a safer, healthier, zero waste future! From March 9–13, Minnesotans can take action by meeting with their legislators or participating in other advocacy efforts to support zero waste priorities at the Capitol. Sign up to participate, and we’ll work to schedule meetings with legislators during the week. We’ll also host a virtual lobby training and orientation at the start of the week to walk through priorities, what to expect in meetings, and different ways to take action.
MN Zero Waste Legislative Kickoff Webinar
Join the MN Zero Waste Coalition as we look toward the 2026 Minnesota Legislative Session. Coalition Members will share legislative priorities with time to answer questions. Come learn about our work towards food waste, electronic recycling, toxics in packaging, and more! You'll have time to meet other advocates, learn how you can get involved this session, and ask questions.
Zero Waste Fest 2025
Zero Waste Fest is a day to come together, celebrate solutions, and build momentum for a zero waste future in Minnesota. From reuse and repair to composting and recycling, we'll share bold policies and build community power to address our waste and climate crises. Enjoy thought-provoking panels, delicious food, local art, and hands-on activities that make it easy to take action.
Whether you’re just starting your zero waste journey or already deep in the work, we are excited to connect with you at the fest!
Resource Management Report Community Input Meeting
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and Resource Recycle Systems (RRS) are creating a report of Minnesota’s waste management systems and the steps the state would need to take to divert 90% of our waste away from landfills and incinerators by 2045. This report will be presented to the legislature in January and will help guide the state’s waste reduction policy moving forward.
As part of this report, RRS is hosting a public meeting to gather community input. This meeting will be August 4th 5-7pm at the Wilder Foundation in St Paul (451 Lexington Pkwy N, St Paul, MN 55104).
RRS wants to hear from you: what does the future of zero waste look like to you? How do you want decision makers engaging with your community on zero waste issues?
